Recording consists of the time used to record the talent.

E d i t i n g

Editing consists of fixing timing, pitch, removing unwanted noises in a recording, and more... All editing will be made to PERFECT all aspects of the recorded performance. The results of editing is a finished and professional sound/performance.

M i x i n g
Mixing takes place after everything is recorded and edited. The word "mixing" means two different things in the context of audio recording:

1. adjusting the fader levels, balance, equalization, etc. so that the live sound is properly recorded in the first place

2. the art of turning the live sound you recorded into a finished, polished masterpiece that's ready to listen to


M a s t e r i n g

Mastering is the final stage in creating the finished product. It's the last chance to finalize the sound. Mastering consists of processing the final mix in just two channels (stereo: left & right), EQ, Compression, Limiting, Stereo Imaging, Level, and more. Song order and CD track layout (and spacing) is also done during this stage.
